Summer projects

Well it has been hard to keep up with posting lately because I was on vacation in massachusetts where i have taken a ton of new photos of our miniature foam figures which I will soon have posted. Anyway I meant to post this one weeks ago so here it is.

It has become a tradition now for us to make each other surprise birthday presents every year and this time we've got some pretty cool new characters to show, so here they are: a puppet Thor figure, made the same as his fellow avenger puppets iron man and captain america (see earlier post), a miniature foam doctor octopus figure, a large foam Optimus prime action figure (about 6 inches tall), and finally Petey Piranah, from the video game super mario sunshine, made from pom-poms.


I managed to get some cool pictures of Thor is his first photo shoot below.

Below are progress pictures of Optimus prime. His joints are simple swivel joints made with foam and rolled up red paper tubes


here are some pics of optimus in his current state, there is actually still more details to add to him so he's not quite complete. his flat hands are only temporary as well as several other parts.
